Keeping TRUE to you: Letting go of WORRY

The other day I was hanging out with friends and I found the conversation turning to a familiar place of worry, concern, fretting, and a basic lack of trust in the unfolding of LIFE in general and in  our lives in particular. Worry is not my usual state of mind. Having dug myself out of generations of persistent worry I feel amazingly worry-free. I do find it very challenging to be around others who worry as I feel like I am being dragged by my neck back into an ocean of hopelessness.

Worry is the eager dance partner to FEAR. Both worry and fear are states of mind. They don’t exist but in thought. As such, I choose, moment by moment, to think different thoughts than those but I do find it difficult if I am around too many others carrying that thought form.

After my afternoon with the worriers I felt emotionally askew.  I needed to spend the entire next day reconnecting with myself, reconnecting with my inner state of trust and non-worry.

I decided it’s just easier to remove myself from those who would perpetrate these negative mind states. My time is much better spent nurturing LOVE – love of myself and my ability to choose LOVE and PEACE rather than feeding fear.I mean, really, wouldn’t you rather lie in a bed of flowers than a pile of poop? I would.

Choose to LOVE yourself, not freak yourself out.
More on that in the latest Cadence Deerheart book we have compiled:
The Loved and Cherished Heart: Awakening Self-LOVE
